With Halloween just around the corner, Dumb Dough has brought out a Halloween range. It features cookies like their Satans Snack, a moreish Red Velvet Cookie base infused with Belgian White Chocolate Chips and a fudgy homemade core, topped with Red Lustre. The Hocus Pocus, a Missisipi Mud Pie & Black Cocoa Cookie base infused with Belgian White Chocolate chips, Mini Marshmallows and lots of Vanilla Oreo Cookies, topped with White Chocolate and Halloween sprinkles.
Jess Little Cakes
Our second choice for the best desserts in Liverpool is Jess little Cake. It’s a cute stall in the popular bus yard. Don’t be fooled by the appearance though, Jess makes some brilliant treats. They offer a range of 7 brownies to choose from and a school cake. They can prepare a brownie for you to eat in the bus yard, or they can box some up for you to take home. If you choose to have them there, you can choose to add sauce, toppings and ice cream to your brownie. But if you take them home, you can warm them up in the microwave and have them melted. The red velvet brownie, choc chip cookie and kinder rocky road were our favourites to have warmed up. Specifically, the marshmallows in the rock road melted into an almost syrupy substance, which combined with the crunchy meringue made for a unique and delicious dessert. If we had to choose, we would say the choc chip cookie we had at the bus yard with salted caramel sauce and ice cream on top was by far the best experience. If you go to the bus yard on a day when It’s busy there, the atmosphere is lively and can fit a good amount of people, especially with the main bus bar playing music over the area.
Our final choice is Heavenly Desserts. Based on Strand Street, Heavenly Desserts are famous for their brilliant selection of desserts. They have everything you could want. Their menu houses options like chocolate shots, cookie dough, cheesecakes, custard, sundaes and much more. They have signature creations like their Royale. The Royale is a waffle or crepe with warm Nutella combined with chopped nuts and crushed Ferrero Rocher chocolates, perfectly finished with a creamy scoop of Hazelnut Supreme gelato. The White Kiss signature is also amazing, a waffle or crepe with warm Belgian white chocolate sauce, a scoop of indulgent Stracciatella gelato and a scattering of white chocolate shavings. If you want to get creative, they offer a create your own section. Here you can make your own dessert using a list of options. You get to choose between waffles, pancakes, crepes, cakes, cookie dough and brownies. You can then add your favourite sauce with options ranging from milk chocolate to maple syrup.
