Jess Little Cakes

Our second choice for the best desserts in Liverpool is Jess little Cake. It’s a cute stall in the popular bus yard. Don’t be fooled by the appearance though, Jess makes some brilliant treats. They offer a range of 7 brownies to choose from and a school cake. They can prepare a brownie for you to eat in the bus yard, or they can box some up for you to take home. If you choose to have them there, you can choose to add sauce, toppings and ice cream to your brownie. But if you take them home, you can warm them up in the microwave and have them melted. The red velvet brownie, choc chip cookie and kinder rocky road were our favourites to have warmed up. Specifically, the marshmallows in the rock road melted into an almost syrupy substance, which combined with the crunchy meringue made for a unique and delicious dessert. If we had to choose, we would say the choc chip cookie we had at the bus yard with salted caramel sauce and ice cream on top was by far the best experience. If you go to the bus yard on a day when It’s busy there, the atmosphere is lively and can fit a good amount of people, especially with the main bus bar playing music over the area.
