Six by Nico – From Miami to Ibiza

We were lucky enough to be invited to try Six by Nico’s latest six-course tasting experience inspired by a transatlantic journey starting in Miami Beach and ending in the white isle of Ibiza.


The service we received this evening was first class, from the minute we entered to the moment we left. The staff was very attentive to my gluten intolerance and each course was easily adapted to be gluten-free. The staff clearly knew what they were talking about as they introduced each course and gave us a little back story each time which was a nice touch.


Now on to the amazing food!

Course 1

The Ibiza Sunset

Paella Bombas, Saffron Emulsion, Roasted Red Pepper Sauce,  Wild Garlic Oil and Crispy Chorizo

The first dish was amazing and you could definitely taste the Spanish inspiration coming through this dish with the crispy chorizo and paella bombas.

Course 2

Miami Beach

Seared Tuna, Bonito Emulsion, Cucumber, Spring Onion and Chilli Ponzu Dressing

The second dish had a very refreshing and almost fruity taste with the use of grilled cucumber, spring onion and chilli ponzu dressing, in combination with the tuna.

Course 3

The Cuban

Pressed Pork Sandwich, Mustard Mayo, Gherkin Relish, Choucroute, Pickled Mustard Seed and Crispy Kale

The pressed port sandwich was delicious and worked really well with the other elements of the dish. This dish is definitely one that anyone would enjoy.

Course 4


Manchego Cheese Ravioli, Grapes, Almonds and Ajo Blanco

For course 4 I decided to try the vegetarian option and it didn’t disappoint. The Manchego Cheese Ravioli gave you a warm and familiar feeling while the grapes and Ajo Blanco added a sweet and fresh taste to complement.

Course 5


Rump Steak, Bbq Rib, Smoked Emulsion, Onions and Chimichurri

The steak was beautifully cooked to a medium-rare temperature and the bbq rib was delicious! The vegetables went really well with this dish as well as the Chimichurri sauce.

Course 6

Little Havana

Coconut & Rum Parfait, Pineapple, Brandy Snap Cigar, Passion Fruit Mousse, White Chocolate Namelaka and Pina Colada

This dessert was insane! It tasted just like a Pina Colada with the use of tropical fruit flavours and was very reminiscent of being on holiday. It was a great sweet dish to end on.

This six-course tasting menu runs from the 7th of June to the 17th of July at a price of £44 per person with the option to add their matching wines at an extra £35.


The team at Six by Nico are very accommodating with allergies and dietary requirements so you are sure to feel comfortable.


They also offer a great range of cocktails, spirits and soft drinks if wine isn’t your thing, as well as delicious side snacks.
