Heritage Bar and Restaurant

I had the pleasure of being invited to @Heritagelpool to try their new menu with a few other bloggers.
I didn’t really know what to expect of Heritage Bar and Restaurant as I haven’t the chance to visit before. First of all the venue is fantastic, the restaurant is laid out well and makes full use of all the space available. We were hosted upstairs which is perfect for any events or functions that you would want to entertain. Could easily fit 20-30 people comfortably.

Olives & Curry Butter

For starters, we enjoyed olives that were served warm, these were great, but you can’t go wrong with olives. I have to say it was the first time that I have eaten them warm before and I was pleasantly surprised. After that, we were treated to their homemade ‘Curry Butter’ & Bread. The amount of flavour that they were able to pack into this light and fluffy butter was immense; I would have happily had that all night.

Marinated Lamb Chops

We then tried a selection of their other dishes, including pan-fried sardines and octopus. The starts of the show had to be their ‘Crispy Cauliflower’ and ‘Marinated Lamb Chops.’
The Lamb chops were cooked to perfection and seasoned well if you are a fan of spice I would suggest you ask them if they can add some heat to it as there wasn’t enough for me.

Crispy Cauliflower

The Cauliflower was accompanied by pickled slaw and a satay sauce which was perfect. Not being a massive cauliflower fan, I couldn’t fault this dish, and I would highly recommend you visit to try it! It was a great meal and definitely requires a return trip.

Overall the food was 8/10!

The venue and staff were perfect and cannot be faulted.
